Accreditation

ACCREDITATION

Accreditation is not required by the U.S. Department of Education. At present, Wagner University is not accredited by a Department of Education approved accrediting agency. Wagner University is authorized to offer religious degrees by the state of Colorado, and California. Wagner University is held accountable through its membership in the Academic Council for Educational Accountability (ACEA). Wagner University also offers accredited degree pathway through the partnership with Shiloh University

AUTHORIZATION

Colorado Commission on Higher Education

Wagner University is authorized to operate as a Religious Training Institution by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. This means Wagner University is recognized as a “bona fide religious postsecondary educational institution” and is authorized to offer religious degrees.

California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE)

Wagner University is approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) to operate as a religious education institution in California. BPPE is a unit of the California Department of Consumer Affairs charged with regulation of private postsecondary educational institutions operating in the state of California. The BPPE is not an accrediting agency.

ACCOUNTABILITY – A Member of ACEA

Wagner University is a member of the ACEA (Academic Council for Educational Accountability) which provides accountability for adult Christian schools (ministry training schools, colleges, etc.) ACEA offers a creative alternative to accreditation. It uses relationship-based peer input to provide accountability through a structure that permits members to conduct peer reviews. ARTICULATION AGREEMENT – Faith International University

Faith international University and Wagner University recognize the benefits to students of a collaborate relationship between the two institutions by providing transfer credits for WU students to an FIU degree program.
